There are a few websites which provide information about Jura. They include this one, which has some beautiful photographs (thank you Ron for permitting us to use some of them). This is also a useful and informative site, as is this excellent site. And the Isle of Jura Distillery site is about more than just whisky. The Wikipedia article on Jura is not as good as some - but you can always improve it yourself!
The hub of island life is the Jura Hotel - or there again, maybe it’s the Jura Stores. The Antlers Bistro and Restaurant is currently closed, but will re-open under new management in 2012. If you want to know what’s really going on, you need Jura Jottings. Keen athletes may be interested in the Isle of Jura Fell Race, whose route passes the door of Burnbank. And don’t miss the wonderful Jura Stores webcam, for a glimpse of what’s happening on the Old Pier (unless Steve has parked in front of the camera again!).
Welcome to Jura!
